Feels like you are in the Middle of No Where!
The magic begins as you drive past the farm-house. And across a sheep-grazed common high above the Wye. Then the roof of your cottage, a recently restored drover’s home, appears. To a backdrop of the distant Black Mountains. With no near houses, surrounded by woodland with a bubbling brook running through. The Farm with wildlife corridors, common land and orchards, is a haven for wildlife. It feels like you are in the middle of no-where. Yet close enough to the main farmstead. To join in with the farm fun. Visit the chill-out barn. Join in the farm activities. Communal gatherings around the dining table or campfires and enjoy the honesty bar. You can also zip down the road to the beautiful book town of Hay on wye. And all its wonderful boutique stores, bookshops and eateries.
If you still want a more rustic vibe. Rustle up a feast on the BBQ or cook outdoors using 3-legged pots on the campfire. Even better still do nothing and enjoy the lush organic home-grown food cooked on open fires from the Farm’s own Kitchen & Larder. (I know what I’ll choose!) Lush Pizzas cooked in wood fired ovens, authentic curries cooked in iron pots and heavenly BBQs (we call them braais) with the farms own home-grown organic meats served up on different days of the week. Yummy daily breakfasts served in the Barn or delivered to your tent. Bliss.
As if that’s not enough.. enjoy the old Hayloft now stunningly converted into your very own chill-out barn (as featured in Home Interiors & Décor Magazine) to share with other glampers and cottagers. It has Free WiFi, Table Tennis, a fully stocked Library, Walking maps & Books, Games, a café, a cocktail bar and its own honesty farm shop. There’s also a lounge with large comfy sofas and squidgy bean bags with movie screenings and a large dining area for yummy breakfasts & dinners. Sleeps 2-4 ask about a 3rd child. And 2 well behaved dogs. There are 5 posh tents and 2 cottages for larger Epic Group Gatherings and Special Celebrations too.
